Top Exhibit Opportunities Across Multiple Industries
August is traditionally considered a slower time for exhibit houses and for organizations participating in the tradeshow circuit. However, there are certainly quality events to exhibit and attend throughout the month, including:
- GBTA Convention (Global Business Travel Association)
- NY NOW
- MAGIC (Men’s Apparel Guild in California)
- Ag Progress Days
- SuperZoo
- GATS (Great American Trucking Show)
- VMworld (Virtual Machine)
These seven August tradeshows and conferences span a variety of industries and verticals, such as hospitality, retail merchandising, agriculture, and technology. An event from this list might be the perfect opportunity for your team to prospect, promote and network during the late summer season.
1. GBTA
Typically held in early August, the Global Business Travel Association Convention is the largest annual gathering of travel professionals. Overarching conference themes include transportation, accommodations, meetings and events as well as related technology and management tools. With several hundred exhibiting companies and thousands of attendees from more than 50 countries, it is truly a world-class affair.
2. NY NOW
Sorted into three collections, HOME, LIFESTYLE and HANDMADE, NY NOW is the biggest wholesale event in the United States. Attended by retailers, designers, and brands, NY NOW occurs February and August each year, offering a wide range of products from housewares to fashion – crafted domestically and internationally.
3. MAGIC
MAGIC is organized by UBM Fashion, which seeks to unite today’s fashion talent with buyers and brands for business and collaboration.
