We’re Condit, a design and fabrication firm for marketing environments. Our core business is designing and building trade show booths, museum exhibitions, branded corporate environments and other installations. We’ve executed projects in countries all over the world and for clients spanning many industries.

Our headquarters are located in Denver, Colorado in a 165,000 sq. ft. hybrid facility of warehouse, manufacturing, and administrative spaces. Our Denver team of 85 works together with integrity, professionalism and transparency. Our second Condit facility is located just outside Chicago, Illinois with similar manufacturing and warehouse capabilities as well as an industrious and talented workforce. Denver

Exhibit Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual who is dedicated to the job and takes pride in their work.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working with their hands and their heads, building state-of-the-art trade show exhibits in our Denver located warehouse. We expect the people on our team to possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities, demands and timelines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, set-up, dismantle and pack exhibit properties for client previews
  • Ensure properties are complete and functional before and after shows
  • Update and maintain detailed inventories of client properties
  • Stage properties while inspecting & noting damages or repairs needed
  • Maintain a neat and organized work environment
  • Ability to work weekly full-time hours and overtime when needed

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right
  • Trade show experience a plus
  • Forklift experience a plus, but not required
  • Capable of lifting 50-75 lbs in a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and safety equipment (PPE)
  • Willingness to learn on the job and desire to constantly improve
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Able to pass a background check

Warehouse Associate

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual who is dedicated to the job and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with their hands and their heads, building state-of-the-art trade show exhibits in our Denver warehouse. We expect the people on our team to possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities, demands and timelines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. Willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, set-up, dismantle and pack exhibit properties for client previews

  • Work closely and cooperatively with others on the Condit team
  • Work from CAD set-up drawings and work order instructions specific to a project scope
  • Maintain and repair various types of exhibits, trade show structures and their components

Chicago

Account Executive

 

Key Objectives

Revenue & Profit Growth – generate a pipeline of new opportunities through prospecting efforts in order to build a recurring book of business.

Client Retention & Loyalty – provide strategic planning and organization on existing accounts to ensure their unconditional renewal and referrals.

Employee Satisfaction – communication liaison between clients and internal staff.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Main POC for clients.  Facilitates timely communication and response via email, phone, web meetings, in-person, etc.
  • Sales strategy planning in conjunction with AM to grow revenue and profit within current client programs.
  • Use INFOR (CRM) to establish new accounts, open opportunities, request resources and store relevant documents.
  • Follow-up with new business leads generated by the website.
  • Attend D&E meeting to establish design & estimating needs for the week.
  • Meet with AM on a biweekly basis to review upcoming project requirements, track status of current jobs and move completed jobs into billing.
  • Maintain show schedule for assigned accounts and update on a quarterly basis.
  • Initiate Schedule of Activities (SOA) for key shows, with oversight from Production.
  • Prepare work order contracts with cost estimates for projects ranging from new builds to rentals to portables.  Review show services work order contracts with AM.  Send to client for signature via AdobeSign.
  • Attend turnover meetings for estimating and manufacturing.
  • Monitor production process to ensure that all project objectives are accomplished and are on time. Communicate with team members to keep them abreast of job status and all changes that may affect the project outcome.
  • Responsible for reviewing change order items to ensure all costs are accounted for and that they fall within the given project time constraints and project budget.
  • Maintain an accurate and accountable job file in Electronic Master Files on all project activities.
  • Travel to showsite to meet with clients, supervise installation, problem solve, etc.
  • Represent the company and its products and services professionally in a manner consistent with current marketing direction.

Project Management/Purchasing

Condit Chicago has an immediate opening for a position in Project Management/Purchasing.  This is a crucial role in the company, as it entails taking something that exists only on paper and turning it into reality.

The Project Manager is responsible for guiding a project, once signed, and overseeing the project through construction until it is ready to be shipped.  Important parts of the role include overseeing the transition of the project from Design into Engineering, purchasing materials for the project, managing the transition to Construction, and ensuring that the finished product is ready to ship. Along the way, a main focus of the job is to deliver the project at the agreed-upon budget and profit margin.

The Purchasing role includes purchasing everything needed for the day-to-day operation of the business (office and janitorial supplies, copy paper, etc), as well as anything specifically needed for projects assigned to the Project Manager, as outlined above.

This position requires the individual to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and with team members. The ideal candidate is an individual who can thrive in a busy work environment, and who can work with other members of the team to bring a project to completion.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Guide a given project, whether a rental exhibit, custom build, or permanent installation, from the time the contract is signed until the project leaves the shipping dock.
  • Oversee important meetings in the life of the project, including turnovers between Design/Engineering, Engineering/Fabrication or Rental Department, and Production/Shipping.
  • Ensure that projects come in on time and on budget.
  • Purchasing duties include anything needed for the project, as well as general items as outlined above.
  • Use a list of preferred vendors, and update as needed
  • Maintain PM and Purchasing records according to company policy & procedures

Expected hours of work:

This is a full-time position with days and hours of work from Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm (subject to change). The position is subject to occasional overtime during peak season, with the possibility of working upwards of 10 hours per day, including weekends.

Job requirements:                                           

  • 2-3 years of experience in Project Management, for a construction/fabrication related business (Exhibit industry experience helpful)
  • Advanced in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to work within firm deadlines & manage schedule
  • Ability to read & accurately interpret sketches and blueprints; including design, construction, architectural, & sub-contractor drawings.

Estimator

Condit Chicago has an immediate opening for an exhibit Estimator.  The role is one of the most important in the company, as in order to sell something, and make money at it, a proper estimate is where everything starts.

The Estimator is responsible for providing cost estimates for exhibit projects, and for creating proposals for clients and prospects to sign. The estimator will have a thorough understanding of the costs for everything that goes into a project (materials, labor, outsourced items, etc.), the vendors that supply them, and the mark-ups that get us to a final price. A good estimator will provide expertise and suggestions on the best ways to value-deliver a project at a given budget.

This position requires the individual to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and with team members. The ideal candidate is an individual who can thrive in a busy work environment, and who can work with other members of the team to bring a project to completion.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Prepares quote proposals based on Labor, Material, and Subcontracted costs, for building out of Tradeshow exhibits, Marketing Environment exhibits, Events, Regional Programs
  • Prepares budgetary guideline proposals (ballpark pricing) based on Labor, Materials, Subcontracted costs, and other available resources
  • Works closely with Account Executive and Designer on the front end, to generate pricing, and with Project Manager and Production to ensure smooth transition to production.
  • Collaborate with design team and prepare estimates to aid creative dept with concept developmental budgets
  • Use a list of preferred vendors, and update as needed
  • Use established estimating templates, yearly set-rates and mark-ups, and Master Service Agreement (MSA) specific rates as communicated
  • Monitor estimating schedule/calendar to meet established estimate due dates; keep the calendar up-to-date
  • Participate in meetings regarding assigned projects as needed
  • Maintain estimating records according to company policy & procedures
