Exhibiting at the Colorado Convention Center

Colorado Convention Center – Exhibitor Overview

The Colorado Convention Center is located at 700 14th Street in downtown Denver’s Theatre District. It’s the 12th largest US convention center with over 2 million square feet of total area and nearly 600,000 square feet of dedicated exhibit space. 2021 will see another completed expansion – adding additional meeting, ballroom, pre-function and service space, including an outdoor terrace overlooking the Rocky Mountains, and making the CCC the nation’s 7th largest convention center.

The facility, which opened in 1990, hosts more than 400 events each year. Trade shows, conventions and expos are primarily held in the Exhibit Hall, which consists of six halls ranging from 90,000 – 100,000 square feet each on a single level. These can be isolated and divided via portable wall dividers as needed. 63 meeting rooms are spread throughout the building, and the Colorado Convention Center also has 49 loading docks and 1,000 on-site parking spaces.

Tradeshows, Conventions and Expos at the Colorado Convention Center

From Comic Con to the Rocky Mountain Bridal Expo, a wide variety of events are held each year at the Colorado Convention Center, but Condit is a full-service exhibit house specializing in trade shows and creating immersive 3D experiences for local and national brands of any size. A few of the tradeshow highlights for 2019 and into 2020 for Condit clients include:

Outdoor Retailer

  • Outdoor Retailer, now divided into the Summer Market and the combined winter Snow Show, is the largest b2b outdoor industry gathering for apparel, gear, tools, footwear and more. Previously hosted in Salt Lake City at the Salt Palace, the events will be held at the Colorado Convention Center through 2022.

  • ACEP, the American College of Emergency Physicians, is an emergency medical conference that focuses on clinical education, risk management tools, and the day-to-day practice of medicine. It will be held at the Colorado Convention Center October 27-30th.

  • CEDIA, the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association, is an electronics show that specializes in household technology and smart home products. CEDIA 2019 starts September 10th through the 14th at the Colorado Convention Center and will return in 2020.

Great American Beer Festival

  • The Great American Beer Festival is another event held each year at the Colorado Convention Center. The festival is actually a domestic beer tasting, open to the public, and a private competition for breweries, homebrewers and more. It is held from October 3rd through 5th of this year.

What’s Near the Colorado Convention Center?

If you’re coming in from out of state, the Denver International Airport is between 25 and 30 miles from the Colorado Convention Center, depending on your route. The drive time in average Denver traffic will take between 35 minutes to an hour, increasing during rush hour and construction. The CCC is also directly on the path of Denver’s RTD light rail. The A-Line train running from the airport to Union Station is a great public transportation option – it’s cheap ($10.50 each way), clean and you avoid traffic!  The average cost of Uber/Lyft from the airport to downtown Denver is $40.

There is a plethora of hotels, Airbnb lodgings and other accommodations within comfortable walking distance to the center, but for drivers, the Colorado Convention Center is surrounded by dozens of paid public parking lots, too. If you’re staying less than two hours at a Colorado Convention Center event, metered street parking on the surrounding city blocks is quick and easy. The Denver Pavilions, a nearby shopping center, also has inexpensive underground parking options. The Hyatt Regency as well as its restaurant and brewery come highly recommended from our team; they are also the closest in proximity to the CCC. Another Condit favorite is Hotel Monaco.

If you’re looking to have dinner after your event, downtown Denver is home to restaurants for any and every palate. Close by, Condit recommends:
