Condit’s Temporary Structures expand into South America

In March of 2012 , Condit was approached by a Venezuelan architectural firm, MTRA Arquitectos representing the CAF Develeopment Bank of America, about the feasibility of designing and installing a VIP structure on the roof of the CAF Headquarters building to serve as their new Board Room.  This structure needed to be installed and remain on the roof of this office building for a period of 2 – 3 years.

Multiple challenges had to be addressed including installing a temporary structure on top of a permanent building, craning all properties to the roof where the structure is to be installed, and finally accommodating the high end finish the client expected.  After four months of extensive planning this project is moving full speed ahead with an expected install date of October 2012.

This 3000 sq. ft. VIP structure will sit on the roof of a three story permanent office building and it includes a number of special features:

  • Custom interior wood panel
  • Two translation booths
  • Drop ceilings and recessed lighting
  • Custom flooring which includes a hardwood floor

Condit is providing a turnkey solution that includes the fabrication of a brand new structure, all engineering approvals, custom fabrication of all interior elements and logisitical planning for this impressive project.
