Colorado Convention Center Overview

The Colorado Convention Center is located at 700 14th Street in downtown Denver’s Theatre District.

The facility:

is the nation’s 7th largest (after its 2021 expansion project was completed)
has over 2.2 million square feet of space
hosts more than 400 events each year
houses 63 meeting rooms
includes 49 loading docks
offers 1,000 on-site parking spaces

The CCC opened in June of 1990 with its first event: the NBA draft for the Denver Nuggets. Today, trade shows, conventions and expos are primarily held in the Exhibit Hall, which consists of six halls ranging from 90,000 – 100,000 square feet each on a single level. These can be isolated and divided via portable wall dividers as needed.

Traveling to the Colorado Convention Center

Today, the Colorado Convention Center is accessible via Denver’s light rail and several local bus routes.

If you’re coming in from out of state or outside the US, Denver International Airport (DIA) is about 25 miles from the convention center, depending on your route. In typical Denver traffic, you can expect this ride to take about a half hour. As in most major cities, taxis, Ubers, Lyfts, and other ride-share services are available.

There is a wide variety of hotels, Airbnb lodgings and other accommodations within comfortable walking distance to the center, but for drivers, the Colorado Convention Center is surrounded by dozens of paid public parking lots, too.
