Condit was selected by the Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) to build temporary structures for the 2015 Vail Beaver Creek Alpine World Ski Championships because we offer a turnkey solution.
When creating environments for the most premier sporting events in the world, event planners like the VVF partner with vendors that will maximize efficiency and professionalism and minimize headaches. Condit was selected from the highly competitive RFP process to design and build two temporary structures for the alpine championships because we offer a single point of contact and manage the structure fabrication process from start to finish. This means one bill and one contact from a single partner, eliminating chaotic planning and overspending. In conjunction, we offer the highest quality product on the market today and still remain competitive with our pricing.
The contract included the custom build for a two-story, 21,000 sq. ft. temporary VIP hospitality structure and a single-story 512 sq. ft. TV studio for international race coverage.
Our process in Beaver Creek began with site preparation, scheduling and a coordinated permitting process. Next, we sourced necessary equipment like cranes, lifts and local labor – another way we’re able to keep costs down. Once the equipment was in place we delivered all materials to the build location and began the process of moving freight from the unloading site to the physical build location. Installing the custom build from flooring to roofing, siding and branding took five weeks. We created designs for the interiors and implemented all necessary finishes like lighting, HVAC systems, bathrooms and a catering kitchen. After the event concludes, the Condit team will dismantle the structure and truck out all materials.
Successful temporary event spaces and temporary structures are a result of careful planning and partnership. Condit designs environments to fit the context of the event and transform empty space into unforgettable spaces with seamless fabrication. By utilizing a vendor that can manage everything from A to Z, you’ll not only save time and money, you’ll increase the efficiency and speed of the build.
