TCL’s CEDIA Exhibit Showcases Impressive A/V Technology

Audiovisual Products Shine in Tech-Heavy Booth

TCL, a global manufacturer of consumer electronics and one of the world’s leading technology companies, exhibited at CEDIA Expo for the first time. The 50×50 space featured a dynamic island exhibit to showcase the brand’s new suite of home theater products including the world’s largest 115″ QD-Mini LED TV and the world’s thinnest “All-In-One” NXTFRAME TVs. Revealing innovative feature-packed televisions throughout the home entertainment stations, center theater, and demo room, TCL also demonstrated new custom install capability for CEDIA attendees.

Custom fabrication of these elements ensured maximum modularity – both for future events and potential use in retail environments. The project, supported by Condit’s engineering, detailing, and project management teams, was completed on an abbreviated timeline but marked a very successful first showing for TCL at CEDIA, the premier residential technology expo.

Goal

Erin Heimer, Events & Partnerships Manager at TCL, described the event goal, “TCL recently introduced premium ‘QD-Mini LED’, incorporating specially developed optics and advanced AI processing that makes it the premium choice for discerning viewers so our goal at CEDIA was to show flagship models like our stunning 115” – the world’s largest QD-Mini LED TV and now the must-have centerpiece for anyone interested in building the ultimate home theater. CEDIA was also the perfect platform for TCL to debut the world’s thinnest ‘All-in-One’ NXTFRAME TV as these groundbreaking new models and the rest of our award-winning 2024 lineup has the industry taking notice of TCL as a top tier brand.”

TCL’s design goals included individual “islands,” which Condit custom fabricated using laminate bases and towers combined with SEG fabrics. Aluminum frames supported the demo room with pillowcase graphics that created an immersive roof and header, while double-sided lightboxes acted as bright and streamlined hanging signs.

The engineering, detailing, and custom manufacturing was completed on a 5-week quick-turn timeline for CEDIA, with its secondary debut at an event two weeks later in a comparable 40×40 island space.

 

Result

Condit aligned with all aesthetic and financial parameters for TCL’s presence at CEDIA. Condit Detailer Cole Fair summarized, “We were given a super tight timeline, but thanks to the shop’s hard work and their great teamwork with engineering, we were able to pull it off!”

Erin continued, “The custom structure created a premium presentation fit for a world-class brand like TCL, which complemented the tradeshow setting and elevated the brand’s image at CEDIA. This booth experience was just what we envisioned for our first time at the expo and we plan on using it, as well as some of the islands, over the next few years to take future shows to a whole new level.”

The exhibit itself fulfills all of TCL’s audiovisual requirements, highlighting their impressive product offerings in an open, inviting high-tech space. The modularity and flexibility of the components and their architecture allows for a range of applications, including a variety of show floor footprints, retail installations, and more.

Erin concluded, “Condit accommodated our accelerated timeline, worked within the budget, and collaborated with us to modify elements to meet our needs while not losing sight of the goal to elevate our brand through the booth.”
