Collaborative Exhibit Design
With over 80 years in business, Condit offers creative services to bring your exhibition vision to life. We have a proven track record partnering with all sorts of museums, nature centers, and visitor centers to design exhibits of any size whether they be temporary, long-term or traveling. We take a collaborative approach with clients to develop one-of-a-kind environments, produced for easy maintenance and durability, engineered with adults, children, and ADA compliance in mind. Our experience spans a diverse range of institutions and subject matter- from science to history to art- and we thrive working within the Midwest and Mountain West regions. We value this depth of experience we’ve gained working with a wide variety of clients and it has prepared us to take on a project like yours!
Custom Exhibit Fabrication Services
We also have a great deal of experience working with museums to fabricate exhibits, whether they’ve been designed in-house or by outside design contractors. We review every design package thoroughly at the beginning of the fabrication phase to confirm the desired outcome and identify any potential issues. We face challenges as a matter of course and work with clients to find solutions, whether that’s coming up with cost-effective substitutions for materials or engineering solutions for complicated designs. We have the skill to execute plans to the designers’ specifications.
Exhibits Built Locally
Condit has two large manufacturing facilities, one in Denver and one in Chicago, run by highly qualified craftspeople utilizing precision fabrication equipment. Our fabrication is based on construction drawings detailed in AutoCAD by our in-house drafters, then turned over to our shop where we employ a multitude of construction disciplines including wood, laminate, paint, metal, fabric, acrylic, and extruded aluminum. Our outstanding safety record, and our commitment to sustainable business practices all reflect our forward-thinking company culture.
Expert Museum Installation
Our installation team is comprised of skilled craftspeople with experience working in museums. They understand not only the unique requirements within the museum setting, but also the expectation for a product of exceptional quality with a high level of finish. This team typically includes a dedicated project manager, the craftspeople who have constructed the exhibit, and an installation expert. They ensure all components are expertly installed to your satisfaction, fully functional and ready for use. Our installation team has the ability, tools and materials to accomplish the job.
