Denver, Colorado – October 21, 2014 – Condit Exhibits, LLC, is pleased to announce the partnership with the Denver Art Museum (DAM) in fabricating and installing the exhibit, Brilliant: Cartier in the 20th Century. The exhibition, which will be on view from November 16, 2014 to March 15, 2015, will showcase a remarkable collection of Cartier jewelry, timepieces, and other luxurious objects crafted between 1900-1975.
French exhibition designer Nathalie Crinière and Agence NC in Paris designed the nearly 14,000-square-foot museum gallery space. The show chronicles how design has been represented in the changing eras of the 20th century and how Cartier’s evolving brand helped define the varying meanings of luxury throughout time. Based on this design, Condit was responsible for the construction documents, exhibit fabrication, installation [painting of the exhibition’s custom walls, display units and viewing rooms.] Condit’s engineering, woodworking, and paint departments were responsible for the build, transport, and installation of the components into the DAM’s Anschutz and Martin and McCormick galleries.
With a four-month timeline, Condit was able to complete the scope of work in conjunction with DAM staff, and additional partners/vendors Zone Displays and Hefferan Partnership. Condit’s President, Mike McGowan comments: “Our team has worked tirelessly to execute this sure-to-be-monumental exhibit for Denver Art Museum visitors. We are extremely fortunate to have partnered with the team of highly talented curators and staff who have excelled in conceiving and orchestrating this show.”
