America’s Cup Event Authority (ACEA) have partnered with Condit, after a highly competitive RFP process, to create 4 premium structures and 2 support structures for the Louis Vuitton Cup and the Americas Cup in San Francisco beginning in July and running through September 2013.
Construction of two of the structures, one called Club 72 and the other for Oracle Team USA is currently underway on Pier 27. Once completed and the custom interiors are fitted out, our team will move to the Marina Green site where two additional structures will be built.
Club 72 is a 25m x 30m, two-story building with two viewing balconies, one overlooking the finish line of the race, the other facing the amphitheatre on the Pier 27/29. This 750m² structure houses the Club 72 VIP Lounge, the Louis Vuitton Lounge, a Louis Vuitton retail store, and a VIP lounge for Team Artemis. The overall space is fitted with built in restrooms, a shower rooms plus a 5m x 15m kitchen as well as multi prep areas that will service all of the hospitality lounges.
The third structure is the 15m x 20m Oracle Team USA hospitality building with a 150m2 viewing balcony on the roof, offering guests and members one of the best views of the race. Accompanying this is the 6m x 12m Oracle hospitality admin building.
The main structure arrived in San Francisco in 8 containers, while the fixtures and fittings took 20 trucks.
