Client Spotlight: Numi Tea Custom Exhibit for NRA Show 2014, Chicago

Longtime client, Numi Organic Tea, is celebrating seven years of tradeshow exhibiting using a Condit custom exhibit. This year’s National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show was particularly important, as Numi launched their new Indulgent Tea line, a guilt-free line of teas incorporating notes of chocolate into herbaceous favorites. For this we took the challenge of adjusting their booth both to showcase this new line while also highlighting Numi classic flavors. Tara Downey, Numi’s Marketing and Events Coordinator explains, “Our booth allows us plenty of space to have multiple product displays from different angles, which makes it more exciting and eye-catching to show attendees. Our Indulgent Tea display looked beautiful.” With that, Tara says, “we were able to draw in a great amount of traffic and interest in our products. Our team met with many key customers and press outlets that were eager to take photos and videos of our booth. We were confident that we were putting our best foot forward with a strong booth presence”.

No matter the project, booth design rests on its ability to stand out. As Tara puts it, in Numi’s case, “though we had a smaller booth space than many other exhibitors at the show, our booth is very polished and inviting, which gives us a lasting impression to others.” However, We can’t take all the credit for the booth design as Numi’s co-founder, Reem Rahim, used her artistic background to help round out the Numi branding.

Starting with a great product, in this case a beautifully executed booth design, isn’t the end-all-be-all. Show set-up and break down often presents many challenges. At the NRA show, Tara recalls “set-up and break-down ran smoothly…Having our booth setup ahead of schedule is important for us since we tend to require a lot of time for merchandising before the show starts.” Function is also an integral factor, and Tara explains, “We were very pleased with our booth structure…it was great to have all of our wall & counter graphics on-hand during set-up so we could switch out the graphics with products we wanted to focus on for the show.”

Esteemed Condit Senior Account Executive, Laura Braafladt, handles all things Numi. Like many Condit client relationships, Laura has become close with Numi. “It’s always a pleasure working with Laura” Tara mentions, “She really takes the time to get to know our team and our goals for each show. Laura has gone the extra mile to meet our needs and help us set-up our elaborate merchandise displays, including picking up plants and herbs for our Savory Tea display at previous shows.” Although Laura has been a key person with the Numi account, it takes many to help make a show a success, “the team stays on top of making improvements and provides all key information to seamlessly coordinate transportation and show services,” says Tara of Condit. And for a booth celebrating its seventh birthday, Tara adds “our booth is still in great condition show after show.“
