A Break from Business to Talk Music

Condit's Kevin TrainorCreativity comes in many forms, and for Condit’s Design Director, Kevin Trainor, his talents reach beyond the scope of his skills in designing custom trade show exhibits and event structures. Kevin is humble when it comes to his secret talent of being able to seriously whale on the guitar (no pun intended), but this week we were lucky enough to shake some info out of him regarding a recent musical project. Read on for Kevin’s take on a recent concert in Seattle.

I got to spend a few days in Seattle recently, preforming at the Kiss the Sky benefit concert for orca whales. We were fortunate enough to perform in an amazing facility, Experience Music Project, rub elbows with super nice people, all while supporting a worthy cause.

It was great to have a chance to hang with my dear friend, singer/guitarist/activist, Andrew Morse–and the stellar band he put together, including keyboard legend Ian McLagen, was an absolute treat to be around, not just at rehearsals and at the show, but also at our numerous tasty dinners! Best of all was being on the bill with the other music celebs who came out to support the event: Heart, Graham Nash, Country Joe McDonald, and my favorite Joan Jett, who like me was born in Philly, grew up in suburban Maryland, and made her fame and fortune in NYC. She still looks and sounds amazing. What a treat!
