About the Project
Condit’s project for Sierra Space at Space Symposium 2023 was a 20×50 double-deck enclosure, featuring components from ClearLED Ltd., Highmark TechSystems USA, and Moss Inc.
The large-scale exhibit offered a semi-transparent space surrounded by immersive LED panels with dedicated meeting areas and display stations. This impressive high-tech environment was a collaborative design with branding agency Plant Street Studios.

At the award ceremony, it was noted that “judges described the commercial space company’s exhibit with the enthusiasm of astronauts seeing the Earth from space for the first time… stunning, amazing, beautiful were just some of the adjectives they used to describe what they felt.”
One said of the project, “Too much technology and video content can be overwhelming, but they found just the right balance to make an incredibly eye-catching exhibit, showing a level of intentional restraint that paid enormous dividends. Many exhibits like this would have failed to launch, but Sierra Space soared with technology and story-telling that reached for the stars.”
Jason Schmuhl, account executive for the Sierra Space account, said “It is a tremendous honor to be a recipient of the Zeigler Award this year. It took maximum effort from many different groups to execute a difficult concept. This was certainly one of those booths that once it was completed, you stand back and look upon with a huge sense of accomplishment.”

The Zeigler Award, named after Ted Zeigler, the inventor of the self-locking pop-up. He is credited with launching the portable modular industry.

Condit’s Sierra Space project had the highest cumulative score, receiving the most votes in the entire 2024 Portable Modular Awards program. Hosted by industry publication Exhibitor Magazine and judged by experts in events and exhibitions, the Portable Modular Awards celebrate exhibits composed primarily of prefabricated portable elements and/or modular systems, entries are rated based on their aesthetics, functionality, and innovation Categories include: best conceptual design, best fabric exhibit, best in-line exhibit, best island exhibit, best reconfigurable exhibit, best rental exhibit, best use of graphics, and best use of technology.

Hosted inside The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, the Space Symposium is a conference for the aerospace industry, offering a platform to convene and deliberate on space exploration, technology, policies, and industry trajectories.
