Where to Eat in Chicago | Condit Favorites

If you’re traveling to Chicago for a trade show or other event, consider skipping the convention center food court and heading out to one of Chicago’s gastro greats. Here are three favorites from our staff:

The Purple Pig

Their slogan, “Cheese, Swine and Wine” just about sums it up. James Beard Award nominated for their fine Italian fare makes this the perfect choice for a client dinner along the Magnificent Mile.

500 North Michigan Avenue

The Berghoff

This German nook is no new kid on the block, this Theater District restaurant is one of the oldest in the nation. Give your weary feet a break and swing in for a hearty lunch. You’ll dine among locals who have supported the establishment for more than a century.

17 West Adams

The Gage

Hip and refined, The Gage is the ideal spot for a post-show cocktail and gastro pub-esque meal. Decompress while taking in the views of Millennium Mile, and if you’re feeling extra drained splurge for one of their “butcher board” meat cuts.
