With only 30 days in June, our Condit team packed as much as possible into this short month. Not only did much successful business ensue, but with snow that lasted in the Denver area through May, June was also the official kickoff to summer.
Jenny, Matt and Anabelle headed to Las Vegas the first week of June for LightFair 2014. There we helped client Seoul Semiconductor unveil a new booth design. The 30’x60’ custom fabricated exhibit was both spectacularly designed and functionally sound. Ragni Lighting, a new client, boasted an equally successful booth. With simple lines and bold graphics, this 10’x20’ custom rental booth was as inviting as it was sleek and professional.
Laura then traveled to the NRA (National Restaurant Association) Show for clients Chipotle and City of Aurora, while Liz assisted Hammonds Candies and Numi Organic Teas at the Sweets & Snack Show in Chicago. We were especially proud of the hand-lettered chalkboards our designer, Keita, created for the Hammond’s booth.
As things started to really warm up, a group of hardy Condit-ites took to the river at the annual FIBArk Whitewater Festival in Salida, Colorado. Each year we engage our very talented in-house fabricators to design and create a specialty raft to enter in the Hooligan race. Not unlike a soapbox derby, rafts in this annual race range from the funny to the absurd; it just has to float. This year Condit tore down the rapids in a life-size, buoyant and blue Bud Light six-pack. The Condit graphics department printed a Bud Light branded vinyl wrap to encase the foam boat, while hand-cut, custom “bottle caps” adored the heads of the fearless paddlers. As if we weren’t water logged enough post Hooligan race, the next day our team took to the river, this time in proper whitewater rafts and apparel. We spent the day navigating high waters through the canyons of beautiful southern Colorado.
Our active team spent the next few weeks in anticipation for another annual tradition, Denver’s Bike to Work Day. Our turnout was the best yet and the endorphins throughout the office that day were as contagious as a good laugh.
And because we enjoy being active as much as we like to celebrate, we made sure there was no shortage of either this last week of June. Long-time partner in tradeshow service management and support, Nth Degree, treated our team to a night at Coors Field. Our beloved Colorado Rockies brought in a 10-5 win against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Celebration took us clear up to the end of the month with a mid-year company re-cap and good-bye party to a longtime Condit member. With as much success as 2014 has already rung in, this meeting was as bitter as it was sweet. We bid adieu to our Graphics Production Manager of 17-years who will now spend his next chapter in Huntsville, Texas. We wish you the very best, Tim!
